Prayer and worship are two strands of the same rope: Intertwined with the third strand that is God.   Not all prayer has to happen within the context of Sunday worship, of course.   There are Care Groups (small groups that meet weekly for prayer and Bible study in the homes of members) as well as other weekly or occasional opportunities to pray together. We believe prayer matters – and makes a difference.

We have a number of talented musicians who offer their gifts to the praise of the Lord: keyboard, guitars, bass, flute, drums.  And we would love to welcome more.  Our church offers an opportunity to develop musical skills, or revive ones thought long lost.  And each friend young and old can bring their own instrument to worship: their voice.

CSBC has a modern sound desk, speakers, digital projection unit and use a ATEM desk to transmit our services weekly to our YouTube Channel. This helps to give our meetings a modern high-tech feel. Through lockdown during 2020/21, we were able to carry on with our services online, with the services being streamed live each week. 

There are other opportunities for creative expression within worship: dramatic readings, puppetry and drama have all been used to wonderful effect within our worship in recent times. If you can bring creativity to our worship, we can give you the chance to exercise that gift.

Our lively puppet team is made up of ‘young’ people over the age of 11. Using Muppet-style puppets we share songs and stories with all ages. Look out for their re-emergence sometime soon.
