Room Charges and Information

  • Main Sanctuary

    Capacity: 200 in rows - less with tables

    Ground Floor - Event, Meetings, Weddings, Blessings or Funerals.

    Cost:
    Cost to be agreed.
    Additional charges may apply for a Registrar if required.

    Conditions:
    Please note that use of the Sanctuary will be agreed on an individual basis. It will not be available on Sundays until after 2pm and only if it is not being used by the Church.

  • Main Hall

    Capacity: 100

    Ground Floor

    Cost:
    £30 for first 2 hours and £15 per hour thereafter.
    £35 for first 2 hours with use of kitchen included.

    Conditions:
    The Hall may be available on a Sunday after 2pm providing that there are no church activities scheduled.

  • Rose Room

    Capacity: 25

    First Floor

    Cost:
    £25 for first 2 hours and £12.50 per hour thereafter
    £30 for first 2 hours with use of kitchen is included.

  • Discounts may apply when (i) the booking is for half a day or a full day (ii) the hirer is a member of the Church or congregation (iii) the hirer is a Registered Charity. Please ask at the time of booking

  • Other items that are available on request include: tablecloths, flip chart/pens, DVD*, PA*, AV projector* and screen. Additional charges will apply.

    * Use of the Church Av and PA facilities will be dependent on a Church trained user being available to operate the system for you – a suitable fee for their attendance will need to be agreed before the facility is made available.

Terms and Conditions

  • CSBC reserves the right to refuse any booking requests.

  • There are some restrictions on the use of the building. (Please check before booking.)

  • We are a ‘non-smoking’ building – this include electronic cigarettes.

  • On the premises and in the grounds, we have a policy of no alcohol, no gambling, no illegal substances or legal or legal highs.

  • We are only available for Sunday hiring after 2pm and providing the premises are not being used by the Church.

  • All room bookings are subject to a minimum charge of two hours unless otherwise stated. Discounts may be available for half day and full day bookings. Please ask us!

  • There is no car parking available on our Church premises. There is on street parking in High Street and Broad Street and a public car park in Wickwar Road.

  • We ask that you be on time for starting and finishing, so that other people and other bookings are not affected. Please allow for setting up, clearing up and cleaning times in the amount of time you book the room. We really appreciate everyone’s cooperation in this matter.

  • We ask you to please enclose a separate cheque for £20 with each booking as a deposit, which will be returned to you if the building is left in good condition.

  • Hire charges may be adjusted at the discretion of Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church as needed. Existing customers will be notified of any adjustments.

  • Full payment is required 2 weeks before the event. Failure to pay will result in cancellation and loss of deposit. If you have a long-term regular booking with us, we still require payment 2 weeks in advance unless an invoicing arrangement has been agreed.

  • If your booking is confirmed and you then cancel, the following charges will apply:

    • 7 working days before the event = 50% of the hire charge;

    • Less than 7 working days before the event = 100% of the hire charge.

  • Payments may be made in cash or by cheque payable to: Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church.
