How do I worship?

CB047129 You are you. With a unique collection of ideas, drives and notions. All that’s missing is your willingness to use them for seeking our creator. Our God is a very creative God. (Check out his handiwork on a cloudless night sky.) You can experience him by using your own God-generated creativity as you seek Him out.

UK Christians have traditionally tended to express their worship through music and prayer. People at CSBC certainly do both of those, but are increasingly experimenting with new ideas and approaches. And it’s fair to say that we’ve only just begun experimenting.

Whatever your particular creative bent, CSBC should be a place where you’ll find an outlet for it. And if you don’t, please tell one of the church leaders. It may be an opportunity for the church to experiment further!

When and where can I worship?

It’s hard to conceive of a time and place where you can’t worship God.

Worship can be expressed through gardening, computer programming, building, nursing, selling .  . . and yes, even singing. Any activity in which you are using your God-given talents for his glory. Worship is a mindset, an attitude, not an activity.

Having said that, something magic can happen when people worship God together with passion, in the same place. Attitudes improve, perspectives on life change, solutions to problems are found, and miracles occur. And God’s own heart is refreshed. So we do meet together, nearly always on Sunday, as is the age-old tradition, but occasionally on other days of the week as well.
