Dear CSBC Family,
I’m sure news of the devastation in Haiti has not escaped you. Already your prayers are being heard for these people. As a Leadership we felt it would be right to do what we can to help more practically as well. We would like to take up a love offering for this disaster, and channel the funds raised through BMS World Mission. BMS supports a hospital in the affected area. Over the next two Sundays, 17 and 24 January, we will take up a special offering for the disaster relief.
I realize some of you will already have responded to the National Emergency Fund or through other aid agencies. That’s great! Please do not feel obligated to give further. For those who wish to take up this opportunity to respond, we will provide you with envelopes so that your giving can be gift-aided, if you wish. Please mention this to folk who would appreciate a way to help.
You can also pledge a contribution this week which you deliver on next week. Thank you in advance for your anticipated generosity in God’s name to the people of Haiti.
