Seniors

The term ’seniors’ encompasses a wide age range and  a large variety of needs. We have tried to identify some of these and offer help in the following ways;

CB048754Thursday Friends

A monthly opportunity for people who might be lonely at home to come have tea, cake and a chat.  There is generally some gentle ‘entertainment’ like a game, craft or story. Lifts are available for those who need transport.

Luncheon Club

Every Tuesday during term time the Luncheon Club team offer our elderly clients a warm welcome and a hot meal in the Church Centre.

Traditional Service

For those who remember (and prefer) a three-point sermon and a lovely hymn, we hold a traditional service at 3.30pm on the last Sunday of every month (except August and December).

You know and love our Lord and would like to take Communion, but you can’t get to church?  We may be able to come to you instead.

Transport

 You would like to come to our church, or one of the activities we run, but you can’t get there?  We can help with lifts.

Audiovisual Help

You can’t see or hear well enough to take part in services?  We have large print books available and a hearing aid loop installed.  If you’d like a large print version of any of the literature we produce please ask the stewards on the way in or ring the church office.

Accessibility

We have easy access as the church is on one level with facilities for all needs.  We have a wheel-chair available should the distance from the car parking areas in the main street be a bit daunting for you.  There are accessible toilets in the church, church hall and church centre.

If you would like a member of the Seniors Team to contact you and discuss how we can help you, please email us or ring the church office on 01454 313 023.
